Through the Lens of Imagination: A Photographic Journey into the Realm of Fantasy.
As I sit here and look out of my window, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement about the year 2023.
A feeling of potential in the air is hard to ignore. For me, this year is all about bringing together my passion and new ideas to create something positive. After the challenges of the last two years, it’s more important than ever to focus on joy.
My passion for photography started when I was just 7 years old in Geelong West Primary School, where I learned to make a pinhole camera and captured my first photograph of a flagpole. This led to over 30 years in a pretty wonderful profession. Fast forward to now, and I understand how art and creativity are integral to my process. I love using storytelling as a metaphor to bring joy, special moments and imagination to clients I photograph.
This merging of these loves bought forward a new offering. It’s called the Fantasy Art Experience. A unique experience that allows your imagination to run wild and create your personalised portrait.
How creativity feeds positivity.
For me, it’s all about bringing joy into someone’s life. In fact, a study from the University of Ontago in 2022 shows Creativity and imagination feeds positivity- so it makes sense we all need some of these ingredients in our life right?
So whether it’s Nanna wanting to be the quintessential showgirl from the 1940s or the burgeoning sports star wanting that slam dunk moment turned into a kind of magic, with Fantasy Art, you can be whatever your heart desires. The opportunities are endless for the burgeoning superhero, fairy adventurer, or business owner looking to create a branding profile that stands out from the standard cookie-cutter imagery and becomes the stuff million-dollar campaigns are made of!
Bringing this to life has been very positive. The client experiences have been so much fun, not just for my clients but for me too! The list keeps growing: the ballerina, the superhero, a fairy princess, the basketballer. My phone rang yesterday from an Author wanting a new and quirky branding portfolio of images!
Every portrait created is a story that will be cherished for generations. The Fantasy Art experience is an extension of this, and I can help you tell that story uniquely and with lots of fun.
